"We were drawn to Yew Tree Manor on House Party Solutions website. The owner Candida could not have been more helpful in providing details of every single amenity we could possibly need. Everything was organised before our arrival. Candida went so far as to receive delivery of 'supplies' and helped arrange the catering for the weekend. We used a lovely local butchers who provided some superb Gloucester meat we cooked on the house BBQ. Yew Tree Manor is a stunning historic property with superb views. On arrival the building is a highly impressive and all the rooms are spacious with fires and wood burners throughout. A large kitchen with an Aga leads out via French doors to the patio / pool area. The grounds are extensive and feature a large cinema room with the centre piece being a lovely swimming pool - which I’m sure in the summer is perfect for a dip. Having stayed in large country residences before for similar events this house is by far and away the best in terms of location, standard of property and the level of service from the delightful Candida."
Tom, Harrogate (April 2013)Yew Tree Manor is a beautifully restored Georgian Manor with many historical connections. It was designed by architect Anthony Keck in 1760 who was associated with Highgrove, Berkeley Castle and Rodborough Manor and was once a 'coming of age' present to the late William Purnell. Superbly situated on the Cotswold Way and set in 7 acres of private gardens, Yew Tree Manor is the perfect house for entertaining and relaxing. It boasts a number of reception rooms, all with impressive period features and open fireplaces; a well equipped kitchen and a beautiful outside pool complimented by an al fresco dining area for the warmer summer months.
A note from the owners:
